Yr 6 SATs Presentation

Welcome to Year 6

Class Teacher: Mrs Jones

LSA:  Miss Thomas

It has been successfuly shown that childen that read regulary excel better in all areas of life.  Therefore, in Key Stage 2 we encourage our children to read as much as possible.  Your child should always have a reading book in their bag along with the reading record.  It is their responsibility to change their books when they are ready.  We expect parents to listen/supervise their child's reading at least five times a week.  Reading records are checked each week on a Wednesday.

Please ensure your child has the correct named PE kit (white t-shirt/yellow sports top and black/blue shorts) and it is kept in school at all times.  Please remember to name bags and all items of clothing.  PE with the coaches will be on a Tuesday and Class PE will be on a Wednesday.

The children will receive weekly homework on a Friday for Maths and English/Topic.  This will be explained on a homework bulletin which will also include up-coming dates and news about our class.  Please sign this to show you have seen it every week and to say you have checked/supported any homework.  Homework is then handed in on a Wednesday morning.  Please see me if for any reason this is not able to happen.

Snacks & Drinks

As a healthy eating school, we encourage children to drink throughout the day. The children can bring in fruit for breaktime and should have a bottle of water available each day.

Please let us know if you can help out in anyway with our class topics.
